Mudec Milan Restaurant / 3 Michelin Stars
Artist and designer Teo KayKay creates a graffito in Enrico Bartolini's MUDEC restaurant and signs the wine list, making it a never-before-made work: a journey between art, wine and haute cuisine.
Â
When art meets starred gastronomy, extraordinary projects are born. Chef Enrico Bartolini, with his 14 Michelin stars, has chosen Teo KayKay to sign the creative direction of the wine list of his restaurant MUDEC, giving life to a work that goes far beyond expectations.

The work created by Teo KayKay on the wall of the MUDEC restaurant is made with Spray and Markers (typical street art tools). It portrays Enrico Bartolini in the city of Milan, with the famous Riso Rapa and bunches of grapes, communicating the experience between cuisine and wine. In the making, the artist and the restaurant team embedded the wine card covers in the wall, thus making them an integral part of the work. Teo KayKay then created the graffiti by also painting on the covers, which were later removed to be applied and bound to the wine cards. Each wine card thus has a different cover from the other, made by hand.
During the year, on the occasion of each reprint of the wine list, the previous one stops being in service, is then sealed and set inside the work, completing over time the "puzzle" that can be said to be complete, only when the last wine list is set, making the painting homogeneous.

The MUDEC restaurant's wine list, with its painted cover, goes outside the conventional canons of any wine list in the world.

Each page is a discovery, a unique experience. Teo KayKay has illustrated each wine area freehand, bringing to paper not only the identity of the wine, but its soul. The illustrations are accompanied by the restaurant team's authentic notes, sharing with the reader the sensations and scents that make each label special. The choice of paper, the binding, the layout: nothing is left to chance, everything tells a story.

This project is the result of an extraordinary collaboration between Teo KayKay, Enrico Bartolini, Sebastien Ferrara, Edoardo Jobet and Monica Biella, who together have created an unprecedented experience in which every detail, every stroke, tells a story of excellence.
